PostgreSQL
PostgreSQL as source or sink, with logical-replication CDC.
PostgreSQL as a relational source or sink for BARRY.
Capabilities: Source · Sink
What it does
Reads tables and queries from any modern PostgreSQL — including the managed services — and can also write into it. Writes use the binary COPY path, the fastest way to load data into Postgres. As a source it runs client-placed for an on-prem database, or cloud-direct where the database is reachable from the cloud.
Configuration
- Host and port (5432 by default)
- Database
- User / password
- SSL mode — require, verify or disable, to match your server's policy
Load strategies
- Full load — reads the whole table or query each run.
- Incremental (watermark) — reads only rows past a high-water mark, such as an id or a modified-timestamp column.
- Logical replication (continuous CDC) — for tables published for logical replication, BARRY reads inserts, updates and deletes straight from the write-ahead log through a replication slot, so a table stays current without being rescanned.
Notes
A logical-replication slot holds WAL on the server while it is inactive, so BARRY manages its slot and you should drop any you no longer use.
