IBM Db2

Db2 as a relational source.

IBM Db2 as a relational source for BARRY.

Capabilities: Source

What it does

Reads tables and queries from IBM Db2 and moves the result to any destination you configure. It connects through the platform-native driver, so for an on-prem Db2 the connection is client-placed on a machine that can reach it.

Configuration

  • Host and port
  • Database
  • User / password

Load strategies

  • Full load — reads the whole table or query each run.
  • Incremental (watermark) — reads only rows past a high-water mark you nominate, such as an id or a modified-timestamp column, so a large table stays current without a full rescan.

Notes

Point the connection at a read-only account; extraction never writes back to the source. Log-based change data capture is not part of this connector; use a watermark column where you need incremental loads.
