What it does

Lands written files into a container and base path of an ADLS Gen2 account. It runs cloud-direct, writing from the server, and pairs with an Output Format that decides the file format, compression and folder layout.

Authentication

• Managed Identity — preferred, no stored secret
• Workload Identity Federation
• Service Principal
• Account Key
• SAS token

Managed Identity keeps the destination free of stored credentials; the others suit accounts where an identity is not available.
