Apache Kafka

Kafka as a sink and messaging trigger.

Works against any Kafka-protocol surface — Apache Kafka, Confluent Cloud, Amazon MSK, Aiven and Redpanda.

What it does

• Sink — publishes a transport's run output to a topic.
• Trigger — starts a transport when a matching message arrives on a topic.
• Alert — publishes a notification to a topic when a run reaches an outcome.

Configuration

• Bootstrap servers
• Security — SASL and/or SSL as your cluster requires
• The topic
• For the Trigger role, additionally a consume topic and a consumer group
• For the Alert role, the topic the notification is published to

Channel field values can embed placeholder variables such as {{transport.name}} and {{client.name}}, resolved when the alert fires.
