Most pipelines start with a full copy – and then the question becomes how to keep it current without hammering the source every night. BARRY gives you three answers in one runtime: a full load when you need a clean baseline, an incremental load driven by a watermark column, and true change data capture that reads straight from the database’s own transaction log. With CDC there is no query scanning your tables and no timestamp column to maintain – inserts, updates and deletes are picked up as the database itself records them, arrive downstream in the order they happened, and are applied to the destination the same way. You choose per transport, and you can change your mind later without rebuilding the pipeline.
